IMPORTANT NOTICE:
As of Wednesday, June 5, traffic behind the Yellowknife Community Arena and the Curling Club will increase due to construction. Dog Park users are advised to keep their pets on a leash when outside of the park, obey all construction signs and watch for moving equipment.
There are four designated off-leash dog areas and one enclosed dog park in Yellowknife.
- Tin Can Hill
- Sandpits
- Fiddler's Lake Road
- Behind the Yellowknife Community Arena (enclosed park)
- Behind the Fieldhouse

Dog Park Regulations
The following regulations apply to the dog park behind the Yellowknife Community Arena:
- Operating hours are from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. You must vacate the dog park outside of these hours.
- Park users and dog owners assume all risks related to park use.
- You MUST clean up after your dog.
- All dogs must have current City licenses with required vaccinations.
- Please keep an eye on your dog at all times and keep your dog's leash with you.
- You must remain with dogs within the fenced area.
- Leash and unleash your dog within the gated area.
- Female dogs in heat, sick dogs, and puppies under 4 months old are not allowed in the park.
- Aggressive dogs must be muzzled.
- Treats and toys cause fights. Please refrain from use when other dogs are present.
- Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
