The City of Yellowknife is updating is Development Incentive Program in order to facilitate development and support downtown revitalization. A Development Incentive Program is a tool that the City uses to direct funds and implement policy towards existing or new development opportunities. Development Incentives can also be in-kind in the form of providing services, amenities or other supportive measures.

The total abatement shall be the lesser of (i) 50% of eligible work costs, (ii) $50,000, or (iii) ten years of total property taxes (land and improvements) payable on the property and existing improvements. |
