The 2025 Santa Claus Parade wrapped up another unforgettable year as the streets of downtown Yellowknife came alive with community spirit and holiday cheer. Thank you to everyone who braved the winter evening to join us along the parade route, and to all parade participants for their creativity, effort, and enthusiasm. Your support is what makes this event such a cherished Yellowknife tradition.

We are pleased to share the award recipients for this year’s parade, as selected by members of Yellowknife City Council:

Roland Gosselin Ho Ho Ho Award – Sir John Franklin High School
Most Creative – 440th Squadron, Canadian Armed Forces
Most Festive – Finning
Most Christmas Spirit – Great Slave Helicopters

Thank you once again to the community for coming out, celebrating together, and helping make this year’s Winter Wonderland theme truly shine. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

Roland Gosselin Ho Ho Ho Award

Every year, the Roland Gosselin Ho Ho Ho Award (which includes a $500 prize!) is given to the non-profit with the best float who participates in the parade. More information on the Roland Gosselin Ho Ho Ho Award can be found on our website.
