The City of Yellowknife (the City) is happy to announce that the annual Community Showcase will take place on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Yellowknife Multiplex Gym.
The Community Showcase is a great opportunity for residents to connect directly with organizations and community groups. Local non-profit organizations related to leisure, health, education, and active living are encouraged to get involved in this event by booking a table to showcase their services...
Fraudulent Parking Ticket Text Messages

The City of Yellowknife (the City) wishes to advise the public of fraudulent text messages currently being sent to residents regarding parking tickets.
The City has become aware of text messages sent to residents stating a parking issue is not resolved, with a link that leads to an unknown website. These text messages are not being sent from the City, as information from the City regarding enforcement matters would never be communicated in this manner. The City's municipal service schedule for September 2, 2024 is as follows:
City Hall CLOSED
Solid Waste Facility CLOSED
Visitor Information Centre 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Yellowknife Public Library CLOSED
Fieldhouse and Multiplex 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Garbage & Compost Pick Up Will remain the same
Sewage Pumpout/Water Delivery Will remain the same
Ruth Inch Memorial Pool
Lane Swim 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Family Swim 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Public Swim 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
There are no other swims offered on this date....
