Northwestel Planned Outage on May 28

In a recent announcement, Northwestel advised of a planned network upgrade scheduled for May 28, 2025, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. During this time, telecommunication services will be intermittent, with the following impacts expected:

  • Cellular-to-landline communication will be disrupted

  • Cell-to-cell and landline-to-landline communication may be intermittent

  • Cable TV and internet services will remain operational

  • Data circuits will be down

  • 911 and the City’s backup emergency line (873-2222) may be...

City of Yellowknife Summer Hours 2025

The City of Yellowknife would like to advise residents that effective Tuesday, May 20, 2025, until Friday, August 29, 2025, City Hall will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for its summer hours. Regular winter hours will resume on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

The City’s hours of operation for the Victoria Day long-weekend can be found on our website.

We encourage residents to take note of the adjusted hours and plan their visits accordingly.
