Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Yellowknife will hold a special meeting of Council at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025 in the Council Chamber, City Hall.

The purpose of the meeting is to:

  • adopt Minutes of Council for the regular meeting of Monday, March 24, 2025;
  • approve the expenditures of $15,600 from the Heritage Committee budget to support applications from Black Advocacy Coalition UpNorth and Yellowknife Historical Society; and

The City of Yellowknife (the City) is ramping up preparations for the opening of the Aquatic Centre.  To this end, the Ruth Inch Memorial Pool (RIMP) will be closed to the public as of Monday, April 14, 2025, to enable staff training in the new facility. Please be advised that all aquatic programming will be temporarily paused as of April 14, until further notice.

The City of Yellowknife is issuing a reminder to residents to be vigilant regarding fraudulent phone calls soliciting donations. It has come to our attention that individuals may receive calls from someone claiming to represent the Canadian National Fire Association, requesting donations for firefighter aid on behalf of the City of Yellowknife.
