The City wishes a happy National Indigenous Peoples Day to all Yellowknifers, particularly First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in our community, ahead of Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
The City's municipal service schedule is as follows:
City Hall CLOSED
Solid Waste Facility CLOSED
Visitor Information Centre 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Yellowknife Public Library 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Fieldhouse and Multiplex 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

The City of Yellowknife’s Fire Division is hosting its annual Open House on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fire Hall located at 100 Taylor Road. During this fun-filled afternoon, residents will have the opportunity to learn about fire safety with local firefighters, take a tour of the fire hall and get an inside view of the fire trucks.
Planned activities include fire extinguisher training, fire truck rides, face painting and balloon animals.

In honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day, the City of Yellowknife (the City) invites the community to join Miranda Currie in celebrating Indigenous language and culture through storytelling and music.

The City of Yellowknife (the City) would like to inform residents of the planned construction projects taking place within the city this summer.
