The City of Yellowknife is excited to invite residents to take part in the 2024 Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Watch the downtown core come alive as community groups and festive floats take to the streets to spread holiday cheer!

Pumpkin Lane Returns

The City of Yellowknife is pleased to announce the return of Pumpkin Lane! Come take a stroll along the McMahon Frame Lake Trail (near the JumpStart Accessible Playground) to see the pumpkin path lit up and marvel at the creative carvings done by community members.

New Registration System for City Programs

The City of Yellowknife is pleased to announce the launch of a new registration system for City programs and facility bookings. This new system will be up and running for winter program registration on December 3, 2024.

From October 6-12, 2024, the Yellowknife Fire Division is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association to promote Fire Prevention Week. Throughout the week, safety tips will be shared related to this year’s theme, “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!”.

The City of Yellowknife (the City) will conduct its fourth Point-In-Time (PiT) in October 2024 with community partners and volunteers. “PiT” is part of a coordinated national effort to measure homelessness across Canada.
