The City of Yellowknife will host a Community Roundtable on Homelessness on June 26, 2024 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Tree of Peace Friendship Centre. Get ready for a fun and educational afternoon at the City of Yellowknife Fire Division's Annual Open House! Join us on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fire Hall, located at 100 Taylor Road, for a free BBQ and a chance to meet our local firefighters. New City Manager

Mayor Rebecca Alty and City Council are pleased to announce Stephen Van Dine has been selected as the City of Yellowknife’s next City Manager. Mr. Van Dine will begin August 6, 2024.

The City of Yellowknife Fire Division (YKFD) is conducting free home and property assessments for Yellowknife and Ndilo residents. This assessment will highlight areas of risk and provide specific recommendations of actions and upgrades residents can take to increase their property’s resilience to wildfire.
