On Monday, May 13, 2024, City Council passed a motion to introduce a $25 tipping fee for the disposal of mattresses at the Solid Waste Facility, which will take effect on June 1, 2024.

City of Yellowknife Summer Hours

The City of Yellowknife would like to advise residents that effective Tuesday, May 21 until Monday, September 2, 2024, City Hall will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. for its summer hours.

The Yellowknife Public Library (YPL) is closed on Sundays from May until September, but will operate with its regular hours from Monday to Saturday. To see the YPL’s full schedule, please visit our website.
